We all love Easter and one tradition is an Easter Egg Hunt for the kids; but, if you are using real eggs and plan to eat them afterwards, you need to be careful as egg shells are permeable and harmful bacteria can get into the egg. USDA’s Gary Crawford has more:
We don’t want to put a downer on your Easter celebration. Go out, have fun and let the kids enjoy the egg hunt. Just make sure those eggs get in the fridge as soon as possible after the hunt is over.
