The Franklin County Commission has approved a Mutual Aid Agreement that will bring the City of Ottawa Fire Department to the aid of Franklin County Emergency Medical Services when a person trapped in a vehicle needs extrication. EMS Chief, Christi Hilliker, says extrication is a skill not necessarily at the top of the list of ambulance crews:
Hilliker says the Ottawa Fire Department has volunteered extrication services throughout Franklin County.
Ottawa Fire Chief, Tim Mathias, was scheduled to discuss the agreement further at today’s Commission Study Session.
