The Kansas Legislature opens what’s referred to as “Veto Session” this morning. Lawmakers will convene at the State Capital in Topeka this morning at 11:00. There is a lot of unfinished business heading into the short session. Senator Caryn Tyson says there are two tax bills she would like to see passed this week, including Bill Number 2597, and Food Sales tax:
Other items up for debate: medical marijuana, sports betting, school finance and much more. Tyson says the session is setting up to be a very busy one.
