An Osawatomie man was killed in a tragic accident, at what was supposed to be a joyous occasion. Fifty six year old James Meyers of Osawatomie, was struck by a projectile, launched from a cannon, during a Gender Reveal Party in the 400 Block of K-68 Highway in Franklin County, Saturday afternoon. He was taken to Overland Park Regional Medical Center where he later died. Very few details of the incident are available.
