The Ottawa City Commission has approved joining an association called the Kansas Association of Trail Towns. the towns include Ottawa, Osawatomie, Herington and Council Grove. City Manager, Richard Nienstedt says it’s a matter of taking care of the Flint Hills Trail:
The Flint Hills Trail is 117 miles long and follows the former Missouri Pacific Railroad Line through five counties.
Nienstedt asked for and received the approval of the City Commission to join the Trail Association.
