Ottawa Planning Commission Chair, Cal Lantis., wants everyone to ‘stay on topic’ and not discuss other issues. Other Planning Members say it’s not so simple. At the latest Study Session, Lantis and Commission Member, Jania Elmer, discussed a recent case where the Commission had discussed whether the developer would include some green space:
Other Commission members agreed that when a rezoning case is before them, several different issues have to be considered before the Planning Commission can come to a decision.
