Although it’ll still be a while before we see serious repair work on Old 50 Highway, it seems a clear hurdle has been cleared. In a pre-design engineering report from Bartlett and West, it has been determined that much of the pavement is in fairly good shape and can probably be re-used. Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, told the County Commission during a Study Session that the highway will have to be repaired in phases:

Lee says it will take a while to find adequate funding before the entire highway can be re-done.
