The pre-design engineering report on Old 50 Highway was presented to the Franklin County Commission during a lengthy Study Session and, for the most part, there are some pleasant surprises. Jeff Lolley is a Transportation Engineer with Bartlett and West Engineering. He says a number of pavement samples were taken:
Lolley says, as might be expected, a few samples were not in good shape; but, for a highway that was laid in the early 1950’s, there’s a lot of pavement that can be reused in rehabilitating the highway.
