Several prayers were offered up for various facets of our society during the National Day of Prayer observance in Ottawa, last week. The event was held at the First Baptist Church and speakers prayed for such things as government, the media and other categories. Leigh Hanson of the United Way of Franklin County offered a prayer for local businesspeople:
The format this year was different from previous years, apparently with many feeling the need to ask divine intervention for various facets of life in our Country.
