Your chance to meet Ottawa’s newest police officer comes tonight and you can also help buy a critical piece of equipment for him. Ottawa’s canine officer, Yuri, will make his public debut this evening at “Not Lost Brewery” in downtown Ottawa. It’s a fundraiser, called “Draws for Paws” to help buy Yuri a ballistics vest. Ottawa Police Chief, Adam Weingartner:
The event tonight, at “Not Lost Brewery”, will be from 5:00 to at least 7:00. Not Lost Brewery will donate one dollar for every beer sold tonight. On top of this, the Gun Guys will donate $20 for every firearm purchased this week and Pizza Village will donate 20% of all their sales on Saturday, to the cause. Get out this week, support local business and help Ottawa’s very first canine unit.
