This might be a good-news-bad-news story. First the good news… the Franklin County Public Works Department has received approval to increase its budget for hot asphalt patching and overlay for this year from the original $810,000 to $950,000. The bad news… the extra asphalt is needed because some road and bridge repairs are more extensive than first thought. Public Works Director, David Lee, says bridges are proving to be kind of a dilemma:

Lee says other repair spots in the County are requiring more material than expected and the extra asphalt is needed to do proper repairs in those locations as well.
