The pressure on the Ottawa City Commission to do something about child care became more intense during the Regular Study Session. The Commission was listening to a presentation by Quality Sunflower Properties, which has several child care facilities around the country. At one point Franklin County Development Council President, Paul Bean, responded to a question from Sara Caylor on if he was talking to the County about day care:
Bean has long said that work force is the main stumbling block from bringing industry to Proximity Park and a suitable work force requires adequate child care.
