The Douglas County Sheriff’s office is urging the driver involved in a hit and run that killed nine year old Brooklyn Brouhard of Eudora and seriously injured her grandfather, 54 year old Barry Larson, in a crash on East 1900 Road at the top of the K-10 off ramp, to come forward.
Yesterday authorities were able to trace the van to the KC Metro area and took it to Lawrence for processing. Douglas County Sheriff Jay Armbruster:
The van pulled forward at a stop sign on the K-10 off ramp at East 1900 Road and hit the motorcycle, which did not have a stop sign, then fled the scene on K-10. If you know anything at all about the accident or the driver, please call the Eudora Police, the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office or 911.
