A special Meet and Greet was held last night at Not Lost Brewery in Downtown Ottawa. Ottawa’s first canine officer, Yuri and his handler, Officer Mike Dunlap, along with Police Chief Adam Weingartner, were on hand to introduce Yuri to the public. KOFO reporter, Grayson Brewer, talked with officer Dunlap about Yuri:
The event was dubbed “Draws for Paws”. Not Lost Brewery donated one dollar for every beer sold last night, to help buy Yuri a ballistic vest. The fund raiser continues. The Gun Guys will donate $20.00 for every gun sold this week and Pizza Village will donate 20% of all sales tomorrow to the cause. Get out this week and support local small businesses and help Ottawa’s very first canine officer, Yuri, get his protective ballistic vest.
