The Anderson County Economic Development Agency is working with the City of Garnett and has formed a Downtown Revitalization Organization. Development Director, Julie Turnipseed, tells us more:
Turnipseed says they are also continuing to recruit and retain childcare businesses. Create an environment for more affordable housing and keep our workforce here and hope to see an ecosystem that will invite new businesses and retain existing ones.
The Downtown Revitalization Program is still looking for anyone interested in volunteering to serve on one of the four standing committees. They are promotion, design, economic vitality and organization. If you are interested, contact Turnipseed or attend the Meeting on June 20th.
