There have been recurring complaints over the last several months with how some cemeteries around Ottawa are maintained and it spilled over again, at the latest City Commission Meeting. At the end of the meeting, City Manager, Richard Nienstedt had something to say:
Nienstedt gave no details on what was wrong with Highland Cemetery, but in general, in the past there have been complaints about grass not mowed often enough and removal of items placed by relatives. The City is revamping its methods of how cemeteries are cared for.
