As the Nation continues to recover from the pandemic, more events are taking place than last year at this time. None may be as important as Memorial Day. As we celebrate this Memorial Day, remind yourself of the sacrifices past generations have given, those serving now and in the future, will bear to ensure our Great Country remains strong. Tell your kids and grand children about it. In the words of President Ronald Reagan:

Thank you to all the men and women who have, are and will, serve our Nation. Veteran Buck Bradley of Ottawa, will host a Memorial Day Service this morning, Monday, May 30, 2022, at 10:00 at the Franklin County War Memorial at 4th and Main. The ceremony will honor those who have given their lives in defense of this great Nation. The public is invited to attend the ceremony.

Also, Vietnam Veteran, William Elston, will be completing his walk from the Veterans Memorial in Lawrence to the Veterans Memorial in Ottawa, this afternoon; he should be here about 4:00. Let’s see how many people we can get to the Veterans Memorial in Downtown Ottawa, to greet him as he comes in.
