Scott Lambers, City Administrator in Leawood, Kansas, died unexpectedly Tuesday, May 31st, at his home. He had worked for the City of Leawood for more than 20 years, joining the City Management in 2001. Before that, he was the City Administrator and Director of Finance in Ottawa.
Leawood Mayor, Peggy Dunn, says Lambers was an extraordinary leader who cared deeply about his family and the community he served and had many accomplishments in his time in Leawood, and he would be sorely missed and never forgotten.
A new release from the City of Leawood said that no further comment from the City would be given until after the City Council meets. The meeting is scheduled for Monday, June 6th.
Lambers was 66 years old.
