The Ottawa Optimist Club will hold the 26th Running of the Ducks Saturday, June 4, 2022. Thousands of rubber ducks racing down the raging rapids of Skunk Run in a torrent of water, at City Park. Well, something like that. The annual run was halted two years ago by the pandemic and last year the event was run without a public audience. Optimist Dale Fox, says this year they have all kinds of activities planned:
All kinds of prizes will be awarded. In year’s past, over 8,000 ducks raced down Skunk Run. Proceeds benefit various school programs the Optimists support. Get out and adopt your duck Saturday morning at City Park.
