The deadline to file for local offices in the upcoming November election passed quietly at noon on Wednesday, June 1st 2022.
Franklin County Clerk, Janet Paddock, says no new filers came forward that day, to file for any of the three Franklin County Commission Seats that will be up for grabs. The three incumbents, Colt Waymire, Don Stottlemire and Ianne Dickenson had filed for reelection earlier. They will run unopposed in the election. Paddock reports that Stottlemire says it will be the first time he has ever run for office unopposed.
Those who want to run for the Kansas House or the Congressional District positions, have until a week from today to file, the deadline being June 10, 2022, at noon.
