A former Overbrook rea resident has pled guilty to supporting foreign terrorist organization. Forty two year old Allison Fluke-Ekren admitted Tuesday to providing military training to women and young girls in Syria on behalf of the terrorist organization, ISIS, and committing other terrorist acts. A Press Release from the U. S. Department of Justice laid out the charges, for which Fluke-Ekren pleaded guilty. One count of conspiring to provide material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization.

Fluke-Ekren, formerly Allison Brooks, was a teacher with the New Vision International School. According to documents, she engaged in terrorism related activities in several countries ad served as a leader of an ISIS battalion where she trained women and girls, as young as 10 years old, on the use of AK-47’s, grenades and suicide belts.

Fluke-Ekren pleaded guilty to conspiring to provide material support or resources to a foreign terrorist organization and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 25th.
