Bike Across Kansas has not come through Ottawa since the early 2000’s, but they will make a return Friday, June 17, 2022 on the last night of their 512 mile ride. Ottawa has quite an event planned for the public and the bikers to enjoy. Ottawa Chamber of Commerce Director, John Coen:
The riders will start filtering into town sometime Friday afternoon and will be encouraged to visit the downtown area. The ORC will offer free swimming to participants and the Old Depot Museum will be open. Ottawa High is the base headquarters for the event. Some will be staying in the gym, others in tents, still others in local hotels. The final stretch is Saturday morning as they finish the ride east of Louisburg.
