Are you ready, are you excited? The John Brown Jamboree is returning to Osawatomie, with three days of activities. It all starts tonight with a huge parade with the theme of …Jim Brown Jamboree.
Come check out the floats and other entries in the parade as they celebrate favorite memories of a past jamboree or festival reminder. The parade will be at 7:00 this evening on Main Street, with the Band of Oz playing behind the Memorial Hall in John Brown Park, after the parade. Don’t forget the carnival that will be open all three nights. More events to come on Friday, including a talent show at the high school, open to all musicians, singers, dancers, magicians and more, with cash prizes.
Saturday is a huge day, with multiple activities and events. A car show, amateur boxing, craft fair, a baby contest, 3 on 3 basketball and a big concert at Lyn Dicker Stadium by Steven Bankey and the Flatlanders.
Head on over to Osawatomie tonight and all weekend for the John Brown Jamboree.
