An injury accident very early this morning, Thursday, June 16, 2022, involving a motorcycle and a deer, has put an Olathe man in the hospital.
The Franklin County Sheriff’s office reports that at 12:17 this morning, 43 year old Nicholas Ard of Olathe, was traveling southbound in the 2100 bock of I-35 when his Kawasaki hit a deer that entered the roadway. Ard was taken by ambulance to Advent Health Ottawa for treatment of the injuries he sustained in the crash. No word on his condition. The motorcycle was estimated to be a total loss.
