The John Brown Jamboree continues this weekend in Osawatomie. the big parade last night, Thursday, June 16, then today there will be a huge talent contest. Dozens of local musicians, singers, dancers, magicians and other acts are expected to grace the stage at the auditorium tonight at 6:00.

Tomorrow, Saturday, June 18, 2022, is a very big day for the Jamboree. Beginning with the Flint Hills Trail Mile Zero Bike Ride and 5K Run, starting at 8:00. A three-on-three basketball tournament also starts at 8:00 as well as a baby contest at the auditorium. The Elks Riders Car Truck and Motorcycle Show from 9:00 to 1:00 at John Brown Park. If you have a cool car, truck or bike you would like to show off, bring it to the show… only a $10.00 entry fee and all the money goes to Elks Riders Scholarship Fund.

Also tomorrow, a huge craft fair in the park. Tomorrow afternoon… Ozfest, but this one won’t have Ozzie Osbourn belting out tunes, it’s an amateur boxing event at the high school starting at 5:00. Then wrap up your day at the Jamboree by heading over to Lyn Dickey Stadium to enjoy the tunes of Steven Bankey and the Flatlanders with a free concert starting at 8:00. Don’t forget the carnival will be open tonight and tomorrow night, Friday and Saturday.
