The Franklin County Jail may be affected by an incident in a neighboring county. Sheriff Jeff Richards told the County Commission about a certain situation:
Richards did not give the number of Bourbon County inmates that might be involved.
He adds that inmate housing costs are way up and they are close to going over budget. With Bourbon County closing, it will make it a little bit tougher as other facilities are charging more per inmate.
