Lawmakers across Kansas have issued statements on the United States Supreme Court’s decision to overtunrn Roe vs Wade, after nearly 50 years after it gave women the constitutional right to an abortion. Kansas Senator Jerry Moran says the decision will not allow Legislatures, not Judges to decide and pass laws to protect children in the womb and support their mothers.

Governor Laura Kelly posted that she made her stance clear and a woman’s reproductive healthcare should be between her and her doctor. She will continue to oppose all regressive legislation that interferes with individual freedoms or threatens the progress Kansas has made in recent years that make Kansas a constructive place to to business.
