In a blockbuster decision that is bound to spark protest and political firestorms around the Nation, the Supreme Court of the United States, has struck down Roe vs Wade, eliminating the nearly 50 year old Constitutional right to abortion and handing states authority to drastically limit or ban the procedure. The decision by a majority of conservative justices has fundamentally reshaped American society by overturning the Landmark 1973 ruling that will effectively block many people from terminating unwanted pregnancies.

The Supreme Court decision means it will now be up to each state to set their own abortion laws. That means some states will have full access to abortions, while others will have restrictions. Justices say it’s up to citizens in each state to elect lawmakers to determine abortion laws.
