The Garnett City Commission will meet tonight, Tuesday, June 28th, at 6:00 at City Hall and there are some items on the Agenda that are of public interest. There will be a Maple Street Project update with representatives from BG Consultants along with a Cedar Valley Reservoir update and talk of road projects.
Other items on the Agenda include the Liberty Fest Community Fireworks Display, the Summer Sidewalk Sales, Sprint Track Night Races on July 23rd, the M S T P A Sanctioned Truck and Tractor pull and Anderson County Fair week. Fair Week is sneaking up quicker that you think. This year it will be from July 25th through the 29th.
There will also be talk about budget workshops and discussion about the need for additional complex parking, plus a presentation of a dividend check to the City of Garnett from Trust Point Insurance Company.
