There were more fireworks, so to speak, over the proposed construction of a duplex at 809 South Willow, in Ottawa. Neighbors have been quite vocal in their opposition to the project, says it doesn’t fit the ‘character of the neighborhood’. Previously the Ottawa Planning Commission recommended the project be denied. During the Ottawa City Commission Study Session, Reagan Rein of 803 South Willow expressed her opposition:

The City Commission is expected to make a final decision on the project at its July 6th meeting. Because of a protest petition filed by neighbors, four of the five commissioners will have to approve the project in order for it to move forward.
