If you notice the flags flying at half-staff today and wonder why, Governor Laura Kelly has ordered the flags at half-staff in honor of Kansas firefighter, Joshua Haynes. Haynes, a firefighter with the Linn County Volunteer Fire Department, suffered fatal injuries while fighting a fire at Carpenter Chiropractic in Pleasanton a week ago today. He served Linn County and the surrounding communities for 18 years as a firefighter. He leaves behind three children.
Funeral services for Haynes will be held this morning, Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at 10:00 at Pleasanton High School. Burial will be at Pleasanton Cemetery. Memorial contributions are suggested for Josh Haynes Children’s Memorial, in care of Schneider Funeral Home in Pleasanton.
