If you are headed out on the highway after the holiday weekend, you have one less rest area to take a break in. The Kansas Department of Transportation has announced they are closing the rest area on northbound I-35 at Homewood, Tuesday. They are doing paving activities on the ramps; but, no worries, it won’t be closed for long. K-Dot says the paving will only last one day and the rest area should be back open Wednesday.
