The Primary Election coming up on August 2nd in Kansas, is not only a Primary, but a very controversial Constitutional Amendment question will be asked regarding the right to abortion in Kansas. In Downtown Ottawa, on Saturday, July 9th, a rally was held by both sides of the issue. Spokesperson Tara Reifeiss, says a group of over 80 very vocal residents, which lined the street in front of the Franklin County Courthouse, wanted to raise awareness of the importance of the issue:

The group held signs and chanted slogans and cheered as cars honked horns in support of their cause. The Amendment is called “Value Them Both” and will appear on the August 2nd Primary Ballot. Every Kansan, regardless of political affiliation, can vote in this election. The deadline to register to vote is tomorrow, Tuesday, July 12.
