A barn fire early Saturday morning in Franklin County caused a large amount of damage. The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and various rural fire department’s responded to a 911 call from 23 year old Trenton Jones of Pomona, just before 1:00 Saturday morning, of a barn fire at 1049 Labette Road in Pomona. Upon arrival, crews found the barn fully engulfed in fire. They set to work on extinguishing the flames and when it was finally put out, the damage estimate to the barn and its contents was estimated to be $15,000. There were no reports of injuries from the fire.
