The City of Ottawa recently received a Base Grant that will help fund the completion of the natural gas line to Proximity Park. That project will make the park completely shovel-ready for new industry. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, talks about what type of industry they are looking for:
He adds there are things the City and County don’t want. Those include industry that could possibly create environmental hazards or emit unpleasant odors. He believes the new Panasonic Plant in DeSoto will have a positive impact on attracting industry to Proximity Park.
