You may hear us talk about the program called TOPS. TOPS stands for “Take Off Pounds Sensibly”. At the end of the year, the program announces Royalty; men and women who have officially recorded the largest weight loss from their starting weight, regardless of time taken to reach the goal. An Ottawa man has been named the TOPS King of Kansas. Steve Miner of Ottawa, lost 56.8 pounds last year in the program.
TOPS President, Rick Danforth, who himself has maintained a 100 pound weight loss for more than 15 years, says celebrating life changing events is a hallmark of the program’s winning formula. By maintaining a commitment to personal lifestyle changes, members are given the tools and assistance to achieve their goals.
This years Queen was Katherine Mick of Newton, who lost over 81 pounds.
Congratulations to her and Steve for achieving their goals. Keep up the good work.
