The Central Heights School District is asking for a School Resource Officer and the request was the subject of a Franklin county Commission Study Session. Sheriff Jeff Richards told Commissioners about the duties of an SRO:
Commissioners say if they agree to the request, they want Central Heights to be responsible for the salary and benefits of the SRO, while the Sheriff’s Department would take are of the car and related expenses.
