The Franklin County Farm Bureau has announced the 2022-2023 AG Ambassadors. The are Chloe Ecord and Lane Higbie. Chloe will be a Senior at West Franklin High School, where she was recently elected President of the West Franklin FFA Chapter. She is also very active in the Appanoose Trailblazers 4-H Club. As a Farm Bureau AG Ambassador, Chloe is looking forward to gaining a better understanding of agriculture in Franklin County, strengthening her leadership skills, and acquiring a knowledge of effective advocacy strategies.
Lane will be a senior in the Shanaan Homeschool Academy and is actively engaged in his family diversified livestock operation, Higbie Livestock. He is also very active in the 4-H organization, where he serves as the President of the Appanoose Trailblazers Club, as well as President of the Franklin County 4-H Council. Advocating for agriculture is what most excites Lane about this opportunity to serve as a Farm Bureau AG Ambassador. He also looks forward to the opportunity to help educate children on where their food comes from.
