The City of Ottawa has been working on street improvement projects for quite some time. One project that will improve a very busy section of Cedar, that they have been working on for quite some time, is about ready for final approval. Ottawa City Manager Richard Nienstedt:
He adds that other projects continue in town, including the installation of sidewalks along K-68, leading toward Forest Park and an extension cutting south toward the Old Depot Museum. The sidewalks will make it safer for increased pedestrian traffic to get to the park and into the downtown area. The project is funded mainly from a State Grant.
