the Franklin County Emergency Medical Services Department is the recipient of the Lifeline EMS Silver Plus Achievement Award from the American Heart Association. EMS Director, Christi Hilliker, told the County Commission that the Award measures several different Standards Of Care for heart attack patients. She says one emergency test is to start a device that gives 12 different views of the heart:
Hilliker says the final Standard Of Care goal is to have the patient’s blood clot or other problem resolved within 120 minutes of the initial call for the ambulance.
