A few weeks ago, Kalmar Manufacturing announced they were expanding their plant in Ottawa and adding a second production line that will eventually enable the production capacity to be doubled, making it the largest Terminal Tractor Manufacturing Facility in all of North America… a $21 million investment in our Community. Franklin County Development Council Director, Paul Bean, says it will bring attention from other industry:
The main focus will be to address the growing demand for electrically powered terminal tractor. It will be done quickly. The expansion is expected to be open by the end of the year.
