A long time city employee will retire on Friday, July 22. Nancy Hermreck began her career with the City of Garnett in November of 1994 as a Utility Billing and Account Clerk. Nancy has given over 27 years of dedicated service to the City of Garnett. Throughout her tenure as a city employee, city officials say Nancy has always been there when needed. Always on time, staying as long as it takes. She is there to help others, no matter what the task. She’s been the mainstay employee during computer conversions, complete budget form overhauls, new software systems and position changes.
Nancy has held the positions of Billing Supervisor, Payroll Clerk, Interim City Clerk and Municipal Court Clerk. She is leaving as the current Treasurer, City Clerk and Court Clerk.
During retirement, she plans on enjoying time with her family, children and grandchildren and helping others. Nancy’s last day and official retirement from the City of Garnett is Friday.
