The City of Osawatomie is about to enter Phase 2 of the Oz Commons Project to revitalize the downtown area. They have applied for an Implementation Grant through Mid America Regional Council’s “Planning Sustainable Places Program”. The Implementation Grant will help complete the project.
The Oz Commons Osawatomie Downtown Redevelopment Project will focus on Downtown, connecting key transportation corridors and trails while enhancing the community’s identity and role in the Region by reconnecting the town to its past and the Flint Hills Trail State Park, by incorporating bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure throughout Downtown with a series of historic and scenic trails and sidewalk loops. The City is looking for public input on the project. The Public Comment period will remain open until the 31st of this month, (July).
