The Wellsville USD 289 Bond Project continues to move forward. Superintendent, Ryan Bradbury, says the main areas of work this Summer have included the new middle school office, middle school classroom remodel, new library, new weight room and wrestling room and high school classroom remodels. However, material delays have slowed the work on the middle school. He says it’s possible that the work may not be done by the time school begins; however, they do have a plan in place to relocate students so the school year can begin on time.
He says the carpeting projects and painting at Wellsville Elementary School have been completed. Other projects including a new pre-K playground and bleacher replacement, will take place this Fall, along with the installment of two new scoreboards in the KD Gym. Also, one new bus and three slightly used buses have been purchased and will help keep the districts fleet of buses updated and functioning at a cost effective level.
