With the heat wave pressing on across our area and energy consumption on the rise, City officials are starting to receive questions regarding energy conservation and the possibility of power blackouts like the ones happening in Texas. Ottawa City Manager, Richard Nienstedt, says that probably won’t happen, but it’s a good idea to be prepared:
Topics like how to set your air conditioner, the best time of day to do your wash, water conservation and others, will be discussed on the Public Service Announcements. They will be posted on the City’s Website and Facebook Page. Some of those are posted now.
