Franklin County is getting ready to do some extensive preliminary work, to be prepared to apply for Grants available through the $1.2 trillion Federal Infrastructure Law. Kansas will have nearly $4 billion to allocate. Franklin County Public Works Director, David Lee, says you have to have all preliminary work done before submitting the application:
There are several areas of concentration, including water and sewer, transportation, energy, power and broadband. The County will need to come up with some potential projects to submit Grant Applications for.
