Franklin County is looking at a proposal by a land owner to build a duplex on his property, something unusual for a property outside a city limits. Franklin County Zoning and Planning Department Director, Kenny Cook, says it is unusual, but the request does have one thing going for it:
All the Commissioners agreed they would like to further explore the issue and see if building a duplex could be allowed. Cook says the Special Use Permit would cover the building of a duplex or a triplex, but nothing beyond that and he would get specific plans from the property owner, who lives close to Centropolis.
