An accident yesterday afternoon, Tuesday, July 26th, sent an Ottawa man to the hospital.
Yesterday afternoon, just before 3:00, 40 year old Love Safari of Fort worth Texas, was driving a Freightliner semi truck and trailer at the off ramp of K-68 and I-35, when he failed to stop at a stop sign and struck a vehicle driven by 50 year old Brent Hoke, from Ottawa. Hoke was transported by Franklin County EMS to Advent Health Ottawa for treatment of possible injuries he received in the crash. The extent of those injuries were not disclosed.
Safari was cited for failing to yield at a stop sign. The accident closed one lane of traffic in the area for about 30 minutes as crews worked the scene
