There was a special ceremony at the Wellsville City Council. Two Wellsville Police Officers officially received they badges and pins, after being promoted to the rank of Patrol Sergeant. After Officers Eric Garcia and Brad Davenport were installed, Wellsville Mayor, Bill Lytle, had a short message:
Sergeant Davenport was pinned by his wife and Sergeant Garcia pinned by his nephew. The City also welcomed new police officer, James Nelson. The Wellsville Police Department now has a total of five officers.
