The Kansas Primary Election, tomorrow, will have thousands more voters out than in a normal Primary Election. The “Value Them Both” Amendment question is driving record voter turnout for a Primary. Supporters of the Amendment in Anderson County report that many of their signs had been stolen or defaced in the days leading up to the election. However, Anderson County Sheriff Vern Valentine said he had received no official reports of property damage locally, due to the defacing of political signs. It is a very touch subject and officials expect voters to be out in droves tomorrow for the election. Advanced ballots and early voting numbers have been usually high.

The Amendment question has been the hot topic in Kansas ever since the U. S. Supreme Court overturned the landmark Roe vs Wade Abortion decision in June, which did away with Federal Jurisdiction over abortion and cast the issue back for determination by individual states. Kansas will be the first state to deal with the issue with a state-wide vote.
